Thursday May 5, 2016: The Inaugural “Not Sunday” Edition

This is it boys, girls, and gender neutral affiliates! We’ve officially moved to twice a week. You can now catch Comedy Abroad every Thursday and Sunday. We’ve got local, south of local, and international acts booked all summer long… social media contests… and a few surprises in store.

Helping us kick off this Thursday run, we have Just For Laughs and Zoofest alum JC Surrette! Linguistically versatile, JC has toured across Canada and performed in both English and French. He may or may not have caught sunburn with Mike Ward on their run in the Maritimes.

Hosting this comedy extravaganza, the Highlander himself, Darren Henwood! Darren’s been on all sorts of stages at JFL and Zoofest, he’s helped with comedy fundraisers overseas, but nothing trumps his mustache.

9-26-13, Darren Couch

Rounding up this awesome line up we have:

Wassim El-Mounzer!

Bianca Yates!

Shawn Stenhouse!

Jon Selig!

…and possibly an unpunctuated surprise or two.

Show tips at 8:15pm, Sunday night. 1245 rue St. André

Go around the south end of the building, and enter via the back entrance – don’t be spooked by sketchiness! If you’re an STM kinda person, get off at Metro Berri UQAM. If you’re driving, free parking in the lot behind the building!

Tickets are available at the door. $7 for the general public, and $5 for M-Montreal, H.M.C., and H.I. guests if you show us your room key.

Happy hour is at 7:30-8:30 PM… but drinks are crazy affordable all night long! So come in, sit down, grab a beverage and enjoy the show.
